Angles on cutting tools are decisive elements in machining performance, service life of the tools and the resulting machining operations. Depending on the customer’s requirements, ZOLLER presetters, as well as ZOLLER inspection and measuring machines, can determine the following angles manually, semi-automatically or fully automatically: cutting angle 1cutting angle 2, spiral angle, chip angle, free angle 1 and free angle 2 circumference, free angle 1 and free angle 2 face, point angle, nose chip angle, axial angle, position angle, chamfer angle, opening angle, presetting angle, incidence angle, chisel edge angle, hollow angle, cone angle and others. The number and type of angles that can be measured depends on the configuration of the particular ZOLLER tool presetter and measuring machine. Nearly all angles on cutting tools can be determined with the ZOLLER universal measuring machine "genius 3", which can do this automatically and provide a printout or export the data.
