In practice, it goes without saying that a workpiece or a part that is to be manufactured will have dimensional tolerances. Similarly, the tools and machines used for machining will have dimensional tolerances. It is also a fact that very few presetter and measuring machines incorporate such tolerance and as such, do not consider them. The tool management system integrated into ZOLLER presetters and measuring machines and ZOLLER’s "toolmanager" are well designed by ZOLLER to administer the tolerances of cutting tools and also to keep to those tolerances. If, after presetting and measuring, a tool is out of tolerance, the operator will automatically receive a warning message, which parameter of the cutting tool (diameter, length, cutting radius, angle 1 or angle 2) is out of tolerance.
