As civilization evolved so did the use of tools. Tools have been decisive in matters of life and death, victory or defeat, success and failure, regression or advance. Of course, you cannot compare a sharpened flintstone with a modern metal cutting tool because of what is to be made with these two so different tools. The vast selection of metal cutting tools with their specialized cutting edges and precision can no longer be measured and tested and evaluated with contact measuring gauges. Now contactless vision systems examine tools by means of transmitted and incident light. ZOLLER has been able to develop vision systems for its entire product line.
